I am a Computer Engineering Student at Tennessee State University. I am also a Hendersonville High School Graduate. I graduated high school in three years with a 3.9 GPA. I have three years of professional experience in tutoring mathematics, and I'm hoping to learn even more from students like you.
Experience
I have tutored since I was in third grade. Professionally, however, I have only tutored for three years. I tutored for two years at Volunteer State Community College. I am currently a private tutor as well as an assistant at Kumon. I scored a comprehensive 29 on the ACT, and have taken enough math classes to bore you to death. What makes me a powerful tutor is my ability to make students independent. Instead of teaching every individual topic of a subject, I push students to take what they know from previous lessons and apply it to their current problem at hand. Achieving this step in education cures math anxiety and allows students to perform better on standardized tests.
